Who we are
Department of Finance is the nodal department for overseeing the public finance management in the State Government and matters connected with State finances. It further assists Administrative Departments in controlling the costs involved in public service delivery, reviewing systems and procedures to optimise outputs and outcomes of public expenditure. The activities also include administration of the financial rules, regulations, orders, pre sanction of major schemes/projects and bulk handling of budgetary resources.

Management of Debt of the State Government in the long run and Cash Management to run its day to day affairs.
ASSESSMENT OF RESOURCES, RECEIPT & EXPENDITURE
Assessment and planning of Financial Resources of the State for their optimal utilization.
FRAMING OF FINANCIAL RULES
Framing rules regulating pay, emoluments and other service conditions of all employees of Govt. of Punjab.
